TATTOOS

NAVEL, NIPPLE, TRAGUS, EAR, EAR CARTILAGE, & SURFACE

All new piercings must be cleaned three to four times a day with warm water and a mild, non-perfumed soap. Bactine should be applied after cleansing to disinfect area. Along with bactine, sea-salt solution (1tbsp sea-salt w/ 8oz. warm water) will aid the healing greatly. It is a natural disinfectant that can and should be used as often as possible, to reduce redness, irritation, and swelling. The piercing should be submerged in the sea-salt solution for five minutes at a time. Always clean hands before touching a new piercing and never let anyone else touch it.

NOSTRIL, SEPTUM, EYEBROW

Clean these piercings at least five times a day in the same fashion as described above. If bactine is too strong for the inside of the nose, a sea-salt solution will work just fine. A Q-tip will be very helpful in cleaning these piercings.

TONGUE, LIP, LABRET, ORAL

All oral contact other than the intake of food and non-alcoholic drink should be avoided for at least 2 weeks. Smoking is not recommended either. For cleaning we suggest using both a sea-salt mixture (see above) and listerine antiseptic cut 50% with water. Wash out the mouth after all meals and drinks. Gly-oxide can also be applied to speed up the healing process. Bactine should be applied to the outside of a labret or lip piercing.

THE HEALING TIME FOR YOUR NEW PIERCING GREATLY DEPENDS ON THE CARE YOU TAKE OF IT! NEVER USE ALCOHOL, HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, BETADINE, OR OINTMENTS ON ANY PIERCING.

1. After two hours remove the plastic wrap.

2. Wash tattoo with cool water, soap & just your hand in a circular motion for five minutes.

3. Rinse with cool water. (It's good to wash it every 15 minutes after the two hours for 1 hour).

4. Pat dry with a clean paper towel & let air dry for 10 minutes.

5. Apply a very thin layer of Bacitracin ointment over the tattoo, rub it into the tattoo & wipe all the excess ointment off. Too thick of ointment may soak out the ink! (Apply Bacitracin for 7-10 days)

6. Wash the tattoo once again before bed, using steps above. Then after wiping excess ointment off cover with plastic wrap & tape it around the tattoo so that it is sealed up. (This will allow the blood not to dry).

7. Remove plastic wrap in the morning, wash, rinse, pat, let air dry, apply thin layer of Bacitracin.

Wash tattoo only on first day and next morning, after this just wash as you wash yourself.

Always wash your hands before you care for your tattoo.

A tattoo is something you need to pay close attention to. It's your skin and your investment. It can look fresh and clean after it heals or it can scar if not properly cared for. We've done our work, how you want your new tattoo to look is determined by your care!

DO NOT SOAK A NEW TATTOO IN TUBS, HOT TUBS, OR SUBJECT IT TO CHLORINE UNTIL HEALED!

Avoid excessive sunlight & Use sunscreen. (Burns damage tattoos)

Do not rub, scratch, or pick a tattoo when it is healing.

(Touch-ups expire after 6 months)
